Enter the Amazon. Return to Yourself.

Are you ready to step away from the familiar, change your perspective, and create space for a profound inner transformation?

For seven days, you are invited into the Peruvian Amazon, to Sanin Mai Healing Center in Contamana, a remote and immersive sanctuary surrounded by rainforest, medicinal plants, waterways, and the sounds of the jungle.

This is more than a retreat. It is an opportunity to slow down, disconnect from everyday life, reconnect with nature, and explore the depths of your own inner world through ancestral plant traditions, ceremony, therapeutic practices, and conscious integration.

The journey is held by experienced Shipibo-Conibo maestros and maestras, alongside therapists, yoga and breathwork practitioners, and other members of the support team. The maestros who guide the plant work have devoted many years of their lives to learning and serving these traditions, bringing deep knowledge of their lineage, ceremonial protocols, and relationship with the plants.

The Wisdom of the Plants

Plant work is woven throughout the retreat, not limited to the ceremony space.

Depending on the day’s practice, traditional plants are prepared as herbal waters, teas, baths, saunas, and cleansing preparations. Plants such as hierbaluisa, Piñón Colorado, Marusa, Amasisa, lemon, and varieties of Tanti Rao are incorporated into different practices, while other Amazonian plants and barks are used traditionally in sauna and cleansing preparations.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about medicinal plants directly within their Amazonian environment, exploring their traditional functions and relationship to Shipibo knowledge.

The experience invites you to encounter the plants not simply as substances, but within a broader relationship of tradition, intention, ceremony, nature, and respect.

The Ceremony Journey

The retreat includes three Master Plant ceremonies, each approached within a broader process of preparation and integration.

Ceremonies are held with the guidance of the Shipibo-Conibo maestros, incorporating traditional practices such as icarado tobacco, sacred songs, cleansing, and other ceremonial protocols.

Between ceremonies, there is dedicated time for rest, reflection, dialogue, plant work, and integration. You will have opportunities to ask questions, share your experience, and explore what arises during the journey.

The retreat also includes a Sapo ceremony and Tobacco ceremony as part of the wider program.

Beyond the Ceremony

Transformation does not happen only during ceremony.

Throughout the week, the retreat creates space to explore the experiences that emerge and consider how they relate to your life outside the jungle.

Through self-development workshops, family constellations, breathwork, yoga, meditation, guided reflection, and conversations with the support team, you are supported every step of the way & invited to look at patterns, relationships, beliefs, and choices with greater awareness.

The intention is not simply to have a powerful experience, but to give you tools to understand, integrate, and meaningfully apply what you discover.

Life in the Jungle

Your accommodation is intentionally simple and connected to the environment: rustic jungle shacks with comfortable beds and mosquito nets, we get to sleep surrounded by the natural sounds of the Amazon!

Meals and the plant dieta are also part of the experience. Food is kept simple and supportive of the retreat program, with periods of fasting, herbal waters, teas, and nourishing meals throughout the week.

A visit to Chia Tipishca Lake and other special locations dives us into the opportunity to experience the Amazon and deepen your connection with the land.

The Community

Your full self is welcomed!

One of the most beautiful aspects of this experience is the sense of connection that develops between participants.

You arrive as individuals and, throughout the week, have the opportunity to become part of a close community.

United by everything we experienced together in this unique Amazonian portal.

A Journey of Remembrance

Perhaps you are looking for a new direction.

Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself, caught in old patterns, or simply know that something in your life is ready to change.

Perhaps there is no single thing you are looking to “fix” — you simply feel called to go deeper.

Whatever brings you here, you are invited to arrive exactly as you are.

This retreat is an invitation to explore:

Who am I beneath the stories I have carried?
What am I ready to release?
What wants to be expressed through me?
What does living from my authentic self actually look like?
How can I bring more love, presence, creativity, and truth into my life?

The metaphor we carry throughout the retreat is the transformation of the caterpillar into the butterfly.

Not becoming someone else.

Not forcing transformation.

But creating the conditions for something already within you to emerge.

The journey does not end when you leave the Amazon.

Integration is an important part of the retreat, helping you reflect on your experiences and consider the practical changes you want to carry forward.

Ultimately, this retreat is an invitation to come back to your center.

To reconnect with Self.

To listen more deeply.

To remember your own inner wisdom.

To meet yourself with greater compassion.

And to return home carrying not only memories of the Amazon, but a deeper awareness of how you want to live.

Come As You Are

The Amazon offers no promise of becoming a different person.

Instead, it offers something perhaps more valuable:

space to remember the person you already are.

Come with an open heart, curiosity, respect for the traditions, and a willingness to look within.

For seven days, let the jungle become your classroom, the plants your teachers, the community your support, and the journey a mirror for your own transformation.
